As a trusted wholesale bakery, we distribute a wide range of baked goods, pastries, and donuts across the island. Our offerings also include homemade juices, catering services, and a variety of fresh products that can be found in almost every gas station, neighborhood market, and grocery store in Cayman. You can visit Island Taste at 2 locations – Caymanian Village and the Bodmer Building in Georgetown (behind the office & across from Anderson Square).

What Is Patty?

We’re known for having the most mouth-watering patties on the island. A patty is a delicious, flaky pastry, similar to a turnover, with a golden yellow color and filled with a flavorful mix of herbs and spices. Fillings can include seasoned vegetables, 16 beans, beef, or beef & cheese. We’re also proud to bring you Jamaica’s #1 patty brand, Juici Patties!

Island Taste has been catering to the Cayman Islands for nearly 50 years, serving up a delicious variety of local and Caribbean flavors. Established in 1975 by Mr. Graham and Mrs. Virginia Thompson, what began as a local restaurant specializing in patties has grown into a full-fledged bakery and restaurant with two locations—an island-wide favorite. Today, Island Taste is not only a popular spot for breakfast and hot lunches but also a bakery that delivers patties, breads, and pastries across the island. As the business has passed through generations—from Graham and Virginia to their son, Ken Thompson, and now to his son, Tyler Thompson—it has continued to flourish.

With two locations—one behind the post office in town and the beloved spot at Caymanian Village—Island Taste remains a community staple. We’re constantly expanding our offerings, including popular donuts, new pastries, and desserts, ensuring that our customers enjoy great flavors both in our kitchen and bakery. We are fortunate to have an amazing team, many of whom have been with us for years, contributing to the quality and warmth we’re known for.
